As this is the first project I will start easy and gradually move on. Here I was coding a simple Tribute Page using only plain HTML and CSS. I recommend that you take look at it and then try to make it without looking at the code. Of course, if you get stuck you can always take a look.

I had the most difficulty with positioning. I solved it with Flex.
Resources:
If you are a complete beginner you should watch YouTube tutorials for HTML(HTML in 15 minutes) and CSS (CSS in 20 minutes). And take look at CSS Flexbox. Otherwise, it is straight forward.
